Ok. Here is the deal. My family and I planned a vacation for the first week in August. We are going on a luxury cruise and have spent nearly 00.00 on it. There is NO WAY to get our money back on it as the deadline to cancel was at the beginning of February.

I really like my job and the benefits are great, but I had taken one of my two weeks of vacation near the beginning of the year and had schedule my second week for the cruise in August. Well, unfortunately in May I became ill and had to spend two weeks in the hospital, one of the weeks ate up all of my pto and now I have none. So, in order to take my vacation I will have to quit my job. I cannot take leave without pay as my employer will not allow any more of that (the second week in the hospital was leave without pay), and I do not have sick days. What would you do? I do not want to skip out on this important vacation, but I really would like to keep my current employment.

I am 17 and want to go and work on a cruise ship next year until I know what i want to do with my life. I love the nature and wild animals,tourism, and to collect money of other lands. I really want to see the world and the beautiful attractions, so i think working on a ship will give me the chance to see the world. What kind of job on the ship wil be interesting for me?

I’ve seen those scam sites that ask you to pay for them to find you a job on a cruise ship. And I went on the Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruise, Carnival ect ect websites and couldn’t find anything but a "bar manager" job. Any suggestion on how I am to pursue the job I want?

I have a turkish boyfriend. He has just started working on an Italian cruise ship around the mediterranean. For this job he had to get a visa which would allow him into the various european ports. He hopes this will help him secure an Irish visa in a few months. Does anyone know if having temporary seaman visa’s will hold any weight when applying for an Irish visa? I just don’t want him wasting his time if it won’t help. Appreciate any help on this, thanks!

My boyfriend and I would love to move from America to Holland. However there are a few obsticals…. We have 3 dogs and a cat, he is a baker (kinda easy to find a job) and I work in the corporate office of a bank (have no idea what the lending industry is like in Holland). I am currently working in the UK on a working holiday visa. I always wanted to work on a cruise ship. Next week I have a interview for a job on a cruise ship. I have a little more than a year left on my visa. How do I go about finding out if I have to extend my visa or apply for a new one? At the moment I am really insure I don’t know how visas work when you work on a cruise ship. Any information and advice would be really helpful. Thank you.
