The World Ship Cruise, Last Minute Cruise Deals

World Cruise Ship travel is something that I have always wanted to do as a younger person the cruise industry did not have a very good reputation and cruising in general was fuelled with gossip about young people going on drinking binges and bed hopping on ships such as the Fair Star.  To me this gave me no reason what’s so ever to want to go on a cruise.

At different stages of your life you meet and past milestone birthdays and you then often sit back and reflect what do you really want and being the go getter that I am ask when are you going to do it? I find if I ask this question regularly it gives me a timeframe in which to jot down some goals and to look at completing a bucket list of things you want to achieve before you kick the bucket!

Getting back on course what I have done thus far is to go on a few short cruises meaning no longer than a couple of weeks.  This is like a sample cruise that allows you a glimpse on what to expect from longer cruise times.

I am a little fussier as I have grown wiser over time and I enjoy younger people’s company don’t get me wrong, but have found that they can become a little tiresome over longer cruise itineraries so I now not travel in school holiday times, I choose a group of people around a similar age group whether they are, singles, Christians, seniors and gays does not matter for one second this varied group of travellers allows me the opportunity should I wish to seek them out and engage in adult conversation.

I say that as I quiet easily entertain myself and I am happy with my own company.  This is just another thing that is great about being the age that I am is that you are comfortable in your own shoes.

The bucket list just got another tick as I have paid the deposit on The World Cruise Ship.  In all honesty I am so excited this will be the trip that I have wanted to do for such a long time and now I have done it.  I am still toying with the idea of either doing the complete cruise as laid out on the itinerary or depart the ship at a country that I would like to discover under my own terms.  I will ponder that for a little longer before I need to make that decision.

I find it fascinating when you tell others of your plans to travel; a usual comment is “you’re so lucky” I find this the biggest insult as it infers that I going on a world cruise due to luck!  I am going on the cruise as I have worked a lifetime in some instances held down 2 jobs to make ends meet and it was my wish when I was going to retire to enjoy the fruits of my labour.  So to me it wasn’t “luck” that got me a ticket on the world’s biggest cruise ship, it was a life time of hard work!
